We started Car Roof Bag Shop for a simple reason. A hard-shell roof box costs several times more than most people need for the handful of trips a year they actually pack the roof, and a cheap, poorly waterproofed bag lets rain through the first time it's tested on a motorway. We wanted a middle ground: genuinely waterproof, properly reinforced roof bags at a fair price.
Why we only sell roof bags
A soft-shell roof bag does the one job that matters: it keeps your luggage dry and secure on the roof, without the cost or permanent garage space a hard box demands. Ours fold flat into their own storage pouch when the trip is over, so they earn their keep the rest of the year too.
Every bag we sell is made from properly waterproof fabric, PVC-coated or Oxford with a PVC lining depending on the model, with sealed or covered zips. We check the spec sheet on every listing before we add it to the range.
A range chosen carefully
We stock bags from 14 to 21 cubic feet, some needing no roof rack at all, others designed for existing rails or crossbars. Compare the spec table on each product page before you buy, capacity, material, straps and rack requirement are all listed there.
How we ship
Orders go out with a tracked UK courier, and delivery is free on orders of £90 or more (a flat £20 applies under £90). Most parcels arrive within 2 to 4 working days, and you get a tracking link by email as soon as yours is on its way.
